MOSSEL BAY NEWS - On 17 February the first quarterly meeting of the Mossel Bay Drug Action Committee took place in the town hall.
The provincial Department of Social Development addressed the meeting on the proposed community-based centre to be based at the Willem van Heerden building in Marsh Street, Mossel Bay.
The centre will be up and running this year.
It was emphasised the problem of substance abuse was not solely the responsibility of government departments. It was an overall societal problem.
The next meeting is scheduled for 26 May.
