ALBERTINIA NEWS - A female collie was dumped on Friday, 13 October in Malan Street, Albertinia.
A few weeks ago the Mossel Bay Advertiser reported that a Yorkie was abandoned at the Dana Bay turn-off on the N2 by the driver of a blue Audi.
The Yorkie ran into bushes and as far as is known, has not been found.
The collie was dropped on the roadside in Albertinia by the driver of a silver Chrysler.
The licence plate number is known to law enforcement authorities and the SPCA. A case has been opened against the driver of the vehicle.
The bewildered pet was spotted by dog lover Rudi de Snoo, who picked her up and took her to the Mossel Bay branch of the Garden Route SPCA.
She was examined thoroughly by the staff and found to be healthy.
