MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A man from Mossel Bay was killed in alleged bundu court justice in the Dube informal settlement.
National police spokesperson, Brigadier Vishnu Naidoo says the man, in his 30s, was allegedly among those who were looting shops in Dube at around 04:45 this morning.
“Police arrived at the scene but the looters fled in different directions.”
Naidoo says the man was then caught by the community and was assaulted.
“Police responded to a bundu court complaint and found the victim lying helplessly. An ambulance was summoned but the man died of his injuries at a local hospital.”
Naidoo says some members of the community of Asla Park started looting shops and four shops were broken into.
The Public Order Police Unit is still monitoring the situation.
