MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The ACDP Women of Destiny organisation in Mossel Bay, under the leadership of chair Chrissie Jacobs, was extremely active during the 16 Days of Activism Against Women and Child Abuse and assisted several local organisations.
The women raised funds to purchase cleaning and other necessary materials for them and organised a Walk for Change to raise awareness of women's and children's rights in the communities of Mossel Bay.
The ACDP thanks Frieda Marais, who presented a puppet show to the children of Civic Park Crèche, teaching the children ways in which they could keep safe, and also Agnus Fielies, who taught the children at Sewende Laan Crèche about healthy choices.
Jacobs said the organisations were thankful for the packages and for the ACDP having reaching out to them.

She stated it was her desire to see women and children safe and protected at all times from all kinds of abuse and for them to know when they are under threat, they are not alone; there were people there for them and there was a place of safety to which they could reach out for help.
She encouraged other concerned citizens to offer their help and resources to organisations in the town working to offer safe places for women and children.
Children enjoyed the visit by ACDP Women of Destiny members and other role players in the outreaches.
