MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A Shift members of the KwaNonqaba Police have had several successes in recent months in arresting criminals.
On Saturday, 25 September Constables Duitsjan and Khumkani found an abandoned vehicle on the N2 near Dana Bay.
Following a identification check, the owner was telephoned who reported that he had recently sold the vehicle. He referred the members to the new owner.
Upon phoning the new owner, a resident of Thembalethu, George, the police learnt that the victim worked night shift and on his return home, found that his vehicle had been stolen. At the time of the call, he was on his way to lay a charge at the police station.
Two suspects were arrested in connection with the incident and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.
The vehicle was returned to its rightful owner.
