MOSSEL BAY NEWS - "The youth play an important role in the Friends of the Mossel Bay CID and we wish to honour them on Youth Day," says Werner Schwella, manager of the Mossel Bay Central Improvement District (CID).
He quotes Nelson Mandela: "Our children are our greatest treasure. They are our future. Those who abuse them tear at the fabric of our society and weaken our nation."
Schwella continues that the youth should be included with every opportunity, not only on 16 June.
"We should encourage the youth to contribute with their innovative ideas and thoughts to make Mossel Bay and the world a better place to live in. With their positive, youthful energy, our sons and daughters make a huge difference on all levels."
He confirmed proudly that a youth member of the Friends of the CID were recently involved in a big compassionate Mossel Bay community project. "Such initiatives must be encouraged and deserve our support. The Mossel Bay CID wishes to give recognition to our youth on Youth Day and also wants to thank them for their support to broaden the footprint of the CID."
