MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - Early this year the Mossel Bay Advertiser published a series of articles about stylishly dressed local women.
Now we are turning our attention to the male fashionistas in town.
One of these is multiple pageant title holder Vuyolwethu Mfumbe. He has won local, regional and national pageants. Mfumbe also runs the annual Mr and Miss KwaNonqaba pageant. Besides this, Mfumbe is a community leader and anti gender-based violence activist.

He is committed to being an agent for positive change in his community. Known for his broad smile and tremendous energy, he was both a consummate photographic model and ramp model. He doesn't walk the ramp, he bursts on to it, conquers it and dominates it.

Mfumbe says: "I was born in Mossel Bay 33 years ago."
He describes himself as "a local presenter, host, events coordinator, fashion stylist, entertainer, actor, comedian and former model".
Besides these, "I'm an activist helping victims of gender-based violence and abuse within my great team of activists from all over our greater Mossel Bay area."
Describing his dress, Mfumbe says: "My style is a mixture of everything beautiful. I am a happy person. I used to love black. My favourite colour is yellow and this season I love the colour orange.
"I am the face of the faceless and the voice of the voiceless. My motto is: 'Shine my star. Do not let the darkness swallow you.'
"In isiXhosa this means, Khanya nkwenkwezi yam ungavumeli ubumnyama bukuginye.
"I love to dress in traditional African and vintage clothes.
When you look good, you feel good, inside and out."
