MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Five people - two women and three men - were brutally murdered in separate incidents in the Mossel Bay area in only 48 hours.
The murders took place from Friday, 4 February, to Sunday, 6 February.
They include a woman in Great Brak River, another woman who was found dead near the graveyard in Heiderand, Mossel Bay, and three men who were attacked with sharp objects in Asla Park.
KwaNonqaba Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp, says detectives have worked around the clock to bring the murderers to book.
By the time of going to print, Warrant Officer Hennie Bylsma had arrested three suspects connected with three of the murders.
KwaNonqaba and Asla Park residents have expressed their concerns over their safety on social media. Residents posted that they were scared and that crime, especially in Asla Park, was getting out of hand.
Residents recently formed a prayer group and prayed in front of the KwaNonqaba Police Station last weekend. They prayed for the families of the murder victims mainly.
