MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Within hours of two separate armed robberies in the early hours of Monday morning at homes in the KwaNonqaba area, members of the KwaNonqaba Police Investigations Unit arrested all five of the suspected perpetrators.
The first incident occurred at approximately 01:15 on Monday, 26 March when five unknown men with pangas forced their way through the door of a house in Dube Street.
The complainant, her sister and three young children were alone at home at the time of the robbery.
The men forced them into a room and robbed them of, among others, a cellular phone, portable CD player and clothes worth about R5 400.
Within hours another house was hit, presumably by the same robbers. At about 02:30 a house in Zingasa Street in KwaNonqaba was the next target. Again the front door was forced open by five unknown men with pangas.
The complainant and two friends were at home at the time of the incident. This time the robbers fled with goods, including laptop computers, clothes and groceries worth a total value of about R33 000.
