MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The 2019 Buffalo Rally will be held from 12 to 14 April at the ATKV Resort, Hartenbos.
The news follows weeks of speculation about the new venue after it became known that the iconic and ever-popular 2019 Buffalo Rally will no longer be hosted at the De Bakke Santos Resort.
Despite every effort by the various roleplayers to retain the Buff at the De Bakke resort, where it has been held for the past 13 years, there remained terms that the Nomads could not agree to that necessitated the move.
One of the terms was that the rally be moved to alternative dates in May.
Considering the weather and other rallies taking place during those months, the proposed dates were not ideal.
"The proposed exclusion of March and April for the event will have an adverse effect on our support from the motorcycle fraternity," Nomads chairperson Luderick Jacoby told the Mossel Bay Advertiser.
He reiterated that the club appreciates the tremendous support and cooperation it has received from the Mossel Bay Municipality over the years.
The good news is that the Buff will remain in the greater Mossel Bay area, and the excitement of thousands of bikers visiting on their impressive motorcycles will not be lost.
Entry forms will only be available from December 2018.
