Peace Makers make it to final

MOSSEL BAY FOOTBALL NEWS - Peace Makers Football Club represented Mossel Bay at the sports festival held in Oudtshoorn over last weekend.

The team did extremely well despite its struggles with a lack of funds and sponsorship.

During the knockout stage Peace Makers beat Barcelona of De Rust. They went on to the semi-finals in which they beat FC United of Knysna.

In the final, Peace Makers faced Moonlight from Dysselsdorp and lost by a narrow margin, with the low score of 2-1.

Coach Lufezo Mhubo said: "We truly believe we have the best talent in the Southern Cape, but we lack a sponsor. We have no uniform - only the SAB kit from the league we are playing in.

"We would really like to have the branded kit which the other teams have and we appeal for a sponsor to come forward to assist us. Then we will really be able to represent Mossel Bay with pride."
