MOSSEL BAY BUSINESS NEWS - In March 2000, 21-and-a-half years ago, Elsabé Greyvenstein bought Crazy Creatures Boutique in Mossel Bay.
It was then a stall in the Goods Shed.
Over the years, the business was extended and more stores were opened - at the Steyn's Mica building (five years), the Mosselbaai Mall (12 years), where Elsabé enlarged it three times, the Bayside Centre (seven years), and the anchor shop in the Langeberg Mall, which opened when the mall first opened in April 2006, and which is still running.
After the first few months of Covid-19, Elsabé was forced to close the branch in the Bayside Centre.
Another devastating blow was December 2020, when all the beaches were closed, which added more financial pressure to the business. As with so many other small businesses, Covid had devastating effects for Crazy Creatures Boutique's financial situation.
After a traumatic period, Elsabé decided to put the business on the market at the end of July this year and is hopeful she will find a buyer who is as passionate about the business as she was, and will take the business to the next level.
The Langeberg Mall shop is excellently located next to Woolworths and is extremely well established after all these years. If a suitable buyer is not found, sadly the business will close its doors at the end of September.
Crazy Creatures Boutique has a CLOSING DOWN SALE this Saturday, 14 August, and incredible bargains will be available!
Naturally, if someone wants to buy the business, it will be sold as a going concern and it will continue to be a household name in Mossel Bay.
If anyone is interested in buying the business, contact Elsabé (082 697 3813).
