BUSINESS NEWS - The Nomads Motorcycle Club of Cape Town is hosting the Buffalo Rally at the ATKV Resort, Hartenbos, from today, Friday 28 October, until 30 October.
This is the 15th time the Buffalo Rally is held in Mossel Bay, as it is hugely popular with motorcyclists.
Nomads Motorcycle Club chairman Luderick Jacoby says that with thousands of motorcyclists descending on the town over the weekend, an event of this nature and magnitude will always cause some inconveniences and/or frustrations.
"We do our utmost to eliminate or minimise any such inconvenience and we appeal to the community to bear with us over the weekend," he said.
Jacoby says organisers are aware that one of the main inconveniences is the unnecessary revving of motorcycles late at night and even perhaps into the early hours of the morning.
"We assure you, we do our best to try put a stop to this, but with an event of this size, together with the size of the camping terrain, it is an almost impossible task to completely eradicate this."
He said he hoped residents would enjoy the weekend as much as the many motorcyclists visiting Mossel Bay.
The public are welcome to visit the Garden Route Casino tomorrow, Saturday 29 October, at 10:00 to view some of the eye-catching motorcycles on show as well as to see the Le Riche Brothers perform their amazing stunts.
The motorcycle procession will depart from outside the ATKV Resort tomorrow at 11:00 and will follow a circular route via The Point, KwaNonqaba and back to the ATKV campsite.
