AGRICULTURAL NEWS - The Kerneels Greyling Trust received a record price of R216,80 /kg for a bale of 15,6 micron wool purchased by Standard Wool, despite prices being softer for finer micron wool.
Wool of 19 microns and finer sold for 1% less, while the price for wool of 20 microns remained unchanged.
“With competition among buyers still good for limited supplies of good quality long clips, we expect the positive market to continue in the short to medium term,” OVK’s operational manager for fibre, Heinrich Victor said.
