59-jarige neem in sy 30ste Comrades-marathon deel
Jacob Karelse, bekende meestersatleet van Mosselbaai neem op 10 Junie aan sy 30ste Comrades-marathon deel en vier in September sy 60ste verjaarsdag. Hy is een van die stigterslede van Mosselbaai Harriers-atletiekklub wat in 1986 gestig is. Jacob vertel dat hy na sy eerste Comrades so moeg en seer was dat hy gedink het: "As Jesus en sy dissipels hier verbyloop en Jesus sê 'Kom', sou ek gesê het, 'Nee, ek is te moeg om op te staan.'"
