Ou stoomtreine gegroet
Die afgelope naweek het menige Mosselbaaier nostalgies kon toekyk hoe twee groot ou stoomtreinreuse uit vervloë dae, 'n Klass 24 No 3655 en Klas 19D No 3322, vir oulaas uit Voorbaai na hul nuwe tuiste vertrek. Een van die stoomtreine, die Klas 19D No 3322, herdoop tot Dominique is voorheen in Voorbaai en is onlangs weer hier gediens. Dit was 'n bittersoetgroet - enersyds dankbaar dat meestervakman Bobby Rudman en sy span die lokomotiewe uit die vergetelheid ontruk en van roes gered het, maar tog ook 'n tikkie hartseer omdat hul pluime stoom nie gou weer hier in die lug sal talm nie.
