Mossel Bay
About 1 000 residents participated in a legal march to the Mossel Bay Municipality yesterday, Thursday 17 August. The residents were protesting against municipal tariffs and housing issues, among others. The march started at 09:00 in Asla Park. Protesters handed over a memorandum to Mossel Bay municipal manager, Colin Puren, at the municipal buildings in upper Marsh Street. The police, as well as the police's specialised Public Order Policing Unit monitored the march. Mossel Bay Advertiser photographer Jannie du Plessis and freelance photographer Dexter Brinkhuis covered the march.
