There was great excitement when Springbok rugby player Faf de Klerk popped into the Goods Shed in Mossel Bay at the weekend. The Goods Shed is a sprawling indoor market with a large variety of stalls, situated in a historical stone building in Bland Street in the town centre.Goods Shed manager Noor Boolay said: "We were so glad and surprised to see Faff. As the Goods Shed manager, I welcomed him. He spent almost an hour here."Boolay said he was not an avid rugby follower, but he was extremely impressed with De Klerk. He said Faf good-naturedly spent time chatting to people at the Goods Shed. "What a down to earth guy. He had his photograph taken with the workers."There were two people with him and they went from stall to stall, looking at the items and enjoying themselves."Representatives of various other businesses and institutions in and around Mossel Bay have commented on Facebook that they had seen De Klerk and they posted photographs of him.
