MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A breathtaking musical evening is in the making with a performance of classical baroque music arranged by the Mossel Bay Arts Society.
The 24-member Bay Strings & Chorus, under directorship of Jeroen Roffel, will be highlighting music from Händel and Buxtehude with violin, viola, cello, double bass, clarinet and horn - not forgetting the vocal line-up of soprano, alto, tenor and bass singers.
If that’s not enough, the hugely talented Mossel Bay pianist, Olive Sandilands, will tease the audience with a selection of popular pieces. Indeed a sumptuous end to a spectacular music year!
Although everyone is welcome to attend the concert on Saturday, 18 November at the Dias Museum, booking is essential - especially in view of the small gifts planned for the attending members of the Mossel Bay Arts Society.
Doors open at 18:30.
Tickets at R80 per person for members of the Society, R100 for non-members and R20 for scholars, may be obtained from Abé Meintjes (083 268 3718) or Annette Strydom (076 857 2900).
