The town hall was packed, with guests spilling over on to the raised gallery at the back of the hall.
The energetic medley of tunes from the Mamma Mia movie was a highlight. It was truly toe-tapping stuff.
The choir showed its prowess during the Mamma Mia medley especially.
El Gato Montes by Manuel Panella also raised the spirits and the spot of Spanish dancing went down well with the audience.
Another highlight was Wonderful World.
The Carpe Musicam! concerts are truly relaxed, friendly and accessible for those who are not music buffs. Conductor Norman Carless makes everyone feel at home with his charming, humorous introductions of the items.
Don't miss Carpe Musicam!'s Fantasia concerts on 8 October in Sedgefield, 13 October in George and 15 October in Mossel Bay. Book online at www.carpemusicam.co.za or pay cash at the door.
