MOSSEL BAY NEWS - "Just as great wine needs time and nurturing, we at ReedValley believe all young minds should be nurtured and provided with a proper education, and where better to start than on our own farm?"
These were the words of one of ReedValley's founding members, Lynette Whittaker, regarding the establishment of the ReedValley Foundation earlier this year.
Currently there are 20 children living on the farm and ReedValley has dedicated funds to the schooling of these youngsters.
The first annual ReedValley Foundation Winter Ball will take place on Friday, 4 August and will raise funds for these children. This is the fourth charity ball to take place on the farm but the first in aid of the ReedValley Foundation. The foundation has also joined hands with the Mossel Bay Advertiser's Oliver Twist community outreach project - a project that offers help where it is most needed.
Guests are requested to dress up in their best black and gold attire for this event that will start at 18:00. With a charity auction and live background music, this is sure to be an ball to remember.
Tickets are available online at www.thebarns.co.za at R350 per person, which will include a delicious three-course meal as well as accompanying wines.
If you would like to make a donation for the auction, email lynette@reedvalley.com or heidi@reedvalley.com, or call 044 698 1022.
Mossel Bay was voted Kwêla Town of the Year for a good reason - the quality of its people - and ReedValley believes that with this ball it will raise the funds needed to make a significant change in several children's lives.
