HARTENBOS NEWS - Hartenbos music producer and singer Vernon Barnard has pulled a new song out of the hat, called Save it all.
The lyrics speak about the beauty of nature and saving the planet for the next generation.

Barnard's young granddaughter, Jessica Connor, joins him in the vocals near the end of the song.
Save it all can best be described as an acoustic pop ballad. It starts off with acoustic piano and then changes over to acoustic finger-picking guitar - a really pretty sound.
It is a gentle song that will appeal to many people. Barnard says: "I wrote it quite a while ago, but the time was not right to release it. Now, with all the fires taking place and the effects of climate change, the time is right."
Jessica sings at the end: "Save it all. We're part of this wondrous creation. Save it all - for now and the new generation."
The song would be a good theme song for a film.
Barnard says if millions of people try to reduce their carbon footprint, it could help save the planet.
"If millions of people play their part, they will contribute to minimising the impact on the environment."
Barnard says he is planning a performance for October in Mossel Bay.
