MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The dates for the second MosJazz Festival have been announced, as well as the strict conditions issued to the organisers, who will again host the event on De Bakke Beach.
The first festival had many residents complaining about noise levels and other teething problems, while others enthused about the opportunity to experience live shows by famous entertainers.
The second festival will take place over the weekend of 17 January.
The Mossel Bay Advertiser invites residents to the second Mossel Bay Advertiser Indaba, where, in town hall talk style, residents can engage with both representatives of the jazz festival organisers and the Mossel Bay Municipality.
The organiser, Camissa Solutions, has undertaken to address concerns on environmental considerations, including noise pollution, stage construction, recycling and cleaning.
It will also discuss the projected economic benefits for Mossel Bay, especially the youth skills transfer strategy and the Entrepreneurial Development Programme attached to the event.
A local band, G-Minor, will perform at the Indaba on Wednesday, 24 October in the Mossel Bay Town Hall. The event starts at 19:00.
