MOSSEL BAY NEWS - It is that time of the year again.

All karaoke singers are called to line up for the sixth consecutive Bravo Lounge Karaoke Idols competition.

The 2016 title went to Niesie Philips of George, with Melly D (Melvin Damons) and Tiffany Aveen-Taplin as runners-up.

This year the competition will start on Sunday, 29 October at 20:00 at the Bravo Lounge at the Garden Route Casino and the winner will once again walk away with a five-track recording from VHM Recording Studio as well as a music video. 

Various other prizes are also up for grabs.

According to the organiser, Ferdi Roelofse, better known as DK Foxx, he is excited to uncover the hidden talent. 

"Every year we are truly surprised at the talent in the Southern Cape and I'm sure this year will not be any exception," he said.

All potential entrants must report at the Bravo Lounge on Sunday at 19:00. 

Foxx has hundreds of songs to choose from, but he recommends each entrant decide on at least two songs beforehand and then come and see if they are available.
