GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - The Garden Route Eisteddfod kicks off today, 16 August, with vocal and instrumental entrees performing at the Dutch Reformed Church in Denneoord, George until 30 August.
Dance items will be performed at the Civic Centre (20 to 26 August), with drama items taking place at the Dutch Reformed Church Blanco (27 to 31 August) and Dutch Reformed Church Denneoord (1 and 2 September).
A visual arts exhibition will be held at the Civic Centre on 26 August and a creative writing event on 3 September at the Dutch Reformed Church Denneoord.
Entrance fee to view the performances is R10 per session, and a programme costs R10.
