MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Arts Society has arranged another exclusive concert - for Mossel Bay only - which will conclude what has been an awesome music year.
The highly-acclaimed soprano, Janelle Visagie, and pianist José Dias will be presenting La Bonne Chanson - Treasures of the French Mélodie.
Ravel, Fauré and others are on the programme, which celebrates the sensual and subliminal. A printed programme, in which the exquisite French poetry is translated into English, will be available for purchase at the concert. Visagie received huge international acclaim for her outstanding performance as Mother Superior in The Sound of Music stage production.
Dias has received and been nominated for a multitude of awards for, among others, his musical production of Amore, Waansin and Poskantoor.
The duo form a magnificent synergy and in 2017 they received a WoordTROfee for Best Vocal Performance at the Stellenbosch Woordfees.
Earlier this year, they walked away with the Fiësta award for Best Classical Production for Pioneers. At the 2018 Karoo Klassique, their La Bonne Chanson received standing ovations.
