MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Arts Society has done it again!
In another coup for our local audience, Shall We? is an exciting show that casts the spotlight on various dances across many genres.
The dynamic duo, consisting of Karin Groenewald on saxophone and Chanie Jonker on piano, will take the audience on a tour through some of the most famous dances. The sarabande, waltz, mambo and tango will be showcased with pieces from composers such as Bach, Piazzolla, Carmichael, Francaix, Albeniz and others.
The show premiered in March this year - and received a standing ovation. The saxophone and piano are the perfect pair for this programme as both instruments not only have the ability to tread graciously around each other, but to also engage in a fiery-paced feud.
This exciting music event will take place on Thursday, 27 September at the Dias Museum in Mossel Bay. The show starts at 19:30, with doors opening at 18:30.
Seats are limited and attendees are advised to book their seats beforehand with Abé Meintjes (083 268 3718).
Tickets cost R100 for members of the Mossel Bay Arts Society, R120 for non-members and R30 for schoolchildren.
