MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Curro Mossel Bay learners are proud to present the 1980s musical, Here in Xanadu! on 8 August at 17:30.
The lovely Greek demigod and muse, Clio played by Nicola Roux, is commissioned by Zeus (Christiaan Danhauser) to inspire a young artist, Sonny (played by Jean-Martin le Roux) to become truly great.
In the meantime, two other muses, Malpomene and Calliope (Bianca Gerber and Zoë Pienaar) conspire against their sister, Clio, along with a sleazy property developer named Danny McGuire (played by Gabriel Taylor).
"Come and enjoy this funny musical and witness these young actors take the stage," says Mrs Joanie Nel, the director of the musical.
"I am confident that university drama departments across the country will find fresh talent in these high school learners.
"The audience will hear some unforgettable 80s hits performed by South Cape Children's Choir veterans, Mia Paulsen and Zandri van Greunen. And watch out for those goosebumps when Akha Piti and Jeandré Barnard take the stage to sing."
