MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay is in for an interesting, unique comedic experience, by the sound of things.
It is in the form of a performance by Ntembeko Monde, aka Moola Moola, which is his stage name.
The show is titled, I am a comedy analyst, and takes place at the Bravo Lounge at the Garden Route Casino near Pinnacle Point outside Mossel Bay on 1 July.
Monde, aged 32, debuted at the Nelson Mandela Comedy Festival in Gqeberha last year.
He is from Gqeberha originally, but lives in Mossel Bay and has been working as a qualified analytical chemist at PetroSA for the past 10 years..
I am a comedy analyst will be in both English and isiXhosa.
Monde says: "The show is about analysing comedy. You get various analysts, such as political analysts and systems analysts, but not comedy analysts."
His show deals with "social issues, political issues and my personal journey".
Community issues
Monde also discusses community issues in the Garden Route area.
He describes it as a relatively clean comedy, only with strong language in parts, but he notes: "It's not for U18s. Comedians must be free to express themselves."
As an added bonus, there will be "surprise acts in the show". Other comedians will join Monde.
The show is also billed as a birthday celebration, because Monde has chosen to celebrate his birthday, which was on 3 June, that night.
The doors open at 18:00 at the Bravo Lounge and the show starts at 19:00.
