MOSSEL BAY NEWS - This week we asked members of the public about their favourite Christmas carols or songs.

They said they enjoy Christmas music and that it lifts their spirit.

ENA JACOBS: "We three kings is my favourite carol. It has rhythm and it brings the message of kings honouring the birth of Jesus, our saviour."

MONIQUE PIETERSE: “I like Hark the herald angels sing. I like the beat and atmosphere it evokes. I believe in Christ, but I am not so crazy about Christmas. I think it is commercialised and some of the traditions are pagan.”

MADELEIN GODINHO: “I like Joy to the World. I think because it is the most familiar to me. I enjoy Christmas music. It gives a holiday atmosphere.”

AKHONA HEKE: “O, come all ye faithful is my favourite carol, because of the message in it. It’s for all; Christmas is for everyone.”

BIANCA LOMBAARD: “Ek hou van Joy to the World, want dit gee jou vreugde vir die lewe. Elke keer dat jy dit hoor, voel jy beter en meer positief. Vreugde en vriendelikheid is min in die wêreld.”
