BopCons has been appointed as the contractor to lead the restoration. A site office is being established in Heights Road, with appointments and planning currently underway. Jeff Ayliffe of Group Editors spoke to construction manager Werner Labuschagne about what lies ahead, and Ward 4 Councillor Marlene Barnardt about what the project means for the local community. Due to the scale of the flood damage, the repairs are expected to take around 18 months to complete.
