MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Eden master team won the SA Blackball Championships in Saldanha last week and it has been crowned the SA champion for 2022.
The win was the result of an enormous effort by all the players.
Eden lost one match only, against KZN, in the round-robin stages and qualified for the playoffs.
In the semi-finals Eden beat Northern Cape 13-8 and in the final, WP 13-9, to become SA champions.
Danie Swart from Eden ended up number one seed overall.
It is also a first for Eden Cue Sports to have SA team champions.
Eden Cue Sports serves the whole of the Southern Cape, from Plettenberg Bay to Heidelberg and Kannaland and parts of the Klein Karoo and the Langkloof.
