MOSSEL BAY BOXING NEWS - There is excitement in the boxing fraternity about the coming fights to take place in Mossel Bay as part of the Sports Festival.
The venue has changed from the Indoor Sports Centre to the Imekhaya Primary School hall.
The date is 13 October for the bouts and the action will start at 18:00. This will be the first professional fights for local amateur boxers Bulelani Ngondeka and Mbulelo Gubula.
Faas said: "Companies are urged to buy tickets for their employees. He described the bouts on 13 October as a rebuilding process to close the gap that was left by the late Mossel Bay boxing promoter Terrence Majeke Ndanda." Faas said that since Ndanda's passing, boxing had not featured much on the Mossel Bay map.
Call Faas (064 057 1459) to enquire about tickets and for more information.
The boxers' manager and trainer, Phillip Goodger, the owner of Tiger Kai gym and martial arts centre in Mossel Bay, told the Mossel Bay Advertiser that the boxers desperately need sponsorship, even in terms of boxing boots and other basic gear.
If you are in a position to assist, call Goodger (083 575 7571 or phillip@tigerkai.co.za).
