FOOTBALL NEWS - Black Aces Football Club dominated the Bay Loans Easter Soccer Tournament held from 7 to 10 April.
The club won the U11, U15 and U17 age groups of the tournament.

The overall winners of the tournament were Young Stars, in the U19 section.
The girls' winning team, Raising the Bar, was presented a trophy and 15 soccer jerseys.
Tournament organiser Edgar Ntebe said: "We had a wonderful tournament. It was fun filled and nail biting right to the end."
A large number of teams competed in the tournament and the stands were packed every day.
There were 10 teams in the U11 section; eight U13 teams; 10 teams in the U15 section; six U17 teams and seven U19 teams.
Bay Loans owner Len Swanepoel said: “The Bay Loans legacy is to inspire youngsters to get involved and join a team. We want to start a winter football academy next year to support grass roots development.”
Ntebe said: "The girls’ teams in particular impressed everyone with their professionalism and skill. This is a huge area of potential and coaches are lining up to assist them to climb the National League.”
This year was the first that girls' teams were included in the tournament.
Winners in each age group:
- U11: Black Aces; U13: Young Professionals; U15: Black Aces; U17: Black Aces; U19: Young Stars.
- Girls' team winners: Raising the Bar.
Ntebe thanked Bay Loans, the parents and soccer fans for supporting the tournament.
