MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Artist Sophia Seegers was the creative facilitator at one of the largest Bubbles & Brushes events in South Africa, hosted by the Association of Round Table Southern Africa (ARTSA).
ARTSA's AGM was held in Mossel Bay last weekend, and the Bubbles & Brushes event formed part of the women's programme.
This fun-filled event was attended by women from all over South Africa, as well as international guests.
The presentation saw an impressive number of 142 women painting, sipping wine, dancing and having lots of fun, winning prizes with their dance moves and gorgeous paintings.
The four-hour art adventure didn't require any previous painting experience and it differed in many ways from the normal step-by-step painting, where everyone copies one picture.
With guidance on how to use their brush, paint and reference material, the women set off, painting their suggested sunsets and silhouettes.

Sophia gave hands-on advice as she walked among the tables, motivating and encouraging the budding artists.
"On asking them how much fun they had on a scale from one to five, they said 20," said Sophia.
"The end results were breathtakingly beautiful and 142 women went home with Picasso-quality masterpieces."
Natania de Castro from Bloemfontein purchased one of only two of Sophia's artworks on display on the day.
