MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The man who allegedly stabbed a KwaNonqaba mother of five, 19 times in November last year, appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrate's Court recently.
The 42-year-old woman died a month after the attack in Groote Schuur Hospital, Cape Town, as a result of the injuries.
A month before the stabbing, the man had been arrested after the woman opened a rape case against him.
He was released on R800 bail and on 8 November, the woman was stabbed 19 times, allegedly by the man, when she was in her home.
He has appeared in court several times since he was charged with murder. He abandoned his bail application earlier this year and is expected to appear in court again on 11 June.
