MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The roar of motorcycle engines echoed through Mossel Bay, George and Oudtshoorn this week as the Garden Route charter of the Wing Riders SA Motorcycle Club hosted its 41st annual Wing Fling from Monday to Friday, 12 to 16 October.
Wing Riders from across South Africa gathered in Hartenbos on Monday, and the event officially kicked off on Tuesday morning with a mass ride from Langeberg Mall to The Point in Mossel Bay.
On Wednesday, the group visited Garden Route Motorcycles in George before spending time volunteering at the Borcherds Paws animal shelter.
Thursday's activities took the riders to Buffelsdrift in the Klein Karoo, followed by visits to Klipheuwel and Little Brak River.
The riders will bid farewell to the Garden Route tomorrow, 17 October, as they hit the road once more, sporting their distinctive leather jackets and motorcycle helmets.
