MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Another consignment of bottle tops and bread bag tags is on the way to the Sweethearts Foundation.
This 740kg of tops and 30kg of tags brings Great Brak River Conservancy's total to 4 615kg of bottle tops and 147kg of bread bag tags. This equals the cost of 13 wheelchairs for those in need.
The Great Brak River Conservancy thanks everyone who collected, sorted and packed the tops and tags, helping to prevent plastic pollution and assisting those who need wheelchairs.
Inspired by "a love for our country and its people", the Sweethearts Foundation allows passionate South Africans to uplift the lives of less fortunate people in their communities.
Its mission is to provide wheelchairs for the needy, to give them independence and demonstrate to them that they are invaluable members of their community.
