MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Revolution FC, of Asla Park, Mossel Bay, had a 3-0 win over Correctional Services in their final match of the season.
The event took place on 28 July at the Extension 23 stadium, Field C. Kick-off started at 10:00.
The Mossel Bay Local Football Association (MOLFA) Domestic League now comes to an end, with Revolution FC securing vital points, securing the 11th position on the log. Revolution struggled in the first 20 minutes of the match, however, it all changed when Correctional Services number 15, Jaco Plaatjies, was issued a red card following a dispute with the match official, Lelethu Dubula.
Revolution capitalised within the following two minutes, scoring their first goal with number 15, Sonaso Khwahla, breaking the defence and blasting it to the back of the net.
Player number seven, Ntozeliwe Olwethu, followed suit by scoring a close range goal in the 27th minute of the match, giving Revolution FC a 2-0 lead.
Correctional Services gave away a vital penalty kick in the second half, following a tackle on Captain Thabo Khotani. Number 12, Ndumiso Mabele, stepped up to the plate and secured yet another goal.
The second half remained tight as Correctional Services failed to capitalise, following numerous corner kick opportunities.
