MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The final election results for Mossel Bay were announced last night.
The Democratic Alliance (DA) is the municipality in the Western Cape with the greatest DA majority - at 66.30%. It won 61% of the vote in the previous election.
In second place is the ANC, with 14.49%. This is a 10% drop in votes since the previous election.
In third place is the Patriotic Alliance, with 7.60%.
The Freedom Front Plus follows with 4.35% and the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP), with 1.62%.
The Referendum Party, which has campaigned for the Western Cape to be independent from the Republic of South Africa, gained 0.67%, and the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party won 0.30% of the votes.
The Cape Coloured Congress (CCC) party gained 0.22% and Action SA, 0.16%.
