MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Thabo Mabunda (37) appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrate's Court on Monday, 17 March, on charges of attempted murder after he allegedly shot a man at The Point, Mossel Bay, in January this year.
Mabunda, who is a Mossel Bay Municipality law enforcement officer, off-duty at the time of the alleged shooting, was arrested shortly after the incident which took place on 24 January at about 22:30.
When Mossel Bay Police officers arrived at the scene and arrested Mabunda, they also confiscated a licensed 9mm firearm.
Mabunda was released on bail of R5 000 on 29 January and the matter was postponed to Monday.
He is expected to appear in court again 26 May.
