MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Garden Route SPCA (GRSPCA) Mossel Bay branch celebrates its 21st birthday on Wednesday, 15 September.
As part of the celebrations, staff are planning a campaign to sterilise 2 021 cats and dogs in their jurisdiction.
Today's tough economic conditions make it difficult for the GRSPCA to meet animals’ needs without help from the public.
GRSPCA vice chair Vanessa Barnard says: "We encourage our communities and followers to make a difference by pledging your birthday donations for the months of September and October."
All funds raised will be used for the sterilisation of 2 021 cats and dogs.
"The average cost of a sterilisation is R400."
Several initiatives have been started and a big thank you goes to donors who have already came on board and believe in the GRSPCA's vision.
Current campaigns communities can support are:
- BackABuddy Campaign - www.backabuddy.co.za/aim-2021-animals.
