MOSSEL BAY NEWS - There was quite a buzz at the beach this morning, 28 October.
A first time collaborative effort between the TNPA (Transnet National Ports Authority), S.M.A.R.T(Stranded Marine Animal Rescue Team), AfriForum, Mossel Bay Municipality and WESSA (Wildlife environmental society of South Africa) and businesses Afrishore and Interwaste happened between Santos Beach and Little Brak River this morning.

About 65 people participated as well as school children from four Mossel Bay schools.
While cleaning up in Diaz beach an injured seagull was also saved and taken to SAPREC (Seabird and penguin rehab centre).
