MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A zest-filled Heritage Day event took place in KwaNonqaba.
Residents dressed in traditional attire and line danced to the Jerusalema song.
Pre-schoolers right through to respected mamas in the community all joined in.
One of the organisers, Vuyolwethu Mfumbe, said: "As per President Ramaphosa's request, we took on the ever popular #JerusalemDanceChallenge on Heritage Day in KwaNonqaba."
Mfumbe said: "A big thank you to the team of organisers: DJ AJ for providing the sound, Mrs Nomboniso uMakhwalo Jika - Mrs KwaNonqaba in 2019 - who was our great hostess, Vuyolwethu Mfumbe Entertainment and Terry Creates Studios for the video and photography.
"The community of KwaNonqaba came together to dance again and our African mamas sang African songs and danced too. Thank you, KwaNonqaba.
"We have fun in life. We cry, smile and dance. Thank you to everyone from all over Mossel Bay who came to support us. We are challenging the Joe Slovo community to accept the challenge to do the Jerusalema dance this month (October)."
