MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEOS - The premiere of the short film, My Father, My Responsibility, starring Mossel Bay woman, Courtney Williams, was well attended on Saturday, 10 September.
Williams has the lead role in the production by filmmaker Yandisa Ndzeku, which had its South African premier at the Nelson Mandela University campus in George.
The lecture hall in which the film was shown, was full.
Courtney only appeared to be introduced to the audience before the premiere because she had to rush off to attend the Miss Eden FM pageant, in which she was crowned first princess that same night. She could not stay to watch the premier.
The film was one of the 2022 official selections for the Paus Premieres Festival, the Lift-Off Global Network Sessions and the First-Time Filmmaker Sessions@Pinewood Studios. These three platforms provide global exposure for up-and-coming filmmakers.
