Bothastrand child porn suspect expected to plead today
The identity of the suspect can only be released once he has formally pleaded on the charges against him.

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A 45-year-old man from Bothastrand outside Great Brak River who is facing charges of being in possession of child pornography is expected to plead in the Mossel Bay Regional Court today, 13 October.

The suspect was arrested at his mother’s luxury home, where he resides, in May 2023.

According to the police, more than 1 004 explicit images and videos, including disturbing footage of infant victims, were found in his possession.

The suspect is currently released on bail of R5 000.

His identity can only be released once he has pleaded on the charges against him.
