MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Hosted for the sixth year at the Bravo Lounge, the Garden Route Casino Bodybuilding Classic, considered the premier bodybuilding event in the Garden Route, was sold out on Saturday, 9 June.

The event has grown progressively, this year drawing more than 70 athletes, the most to date.

An atmosphere of excitement typified the event, undersigned by the Physical Culture Association (PCA), this year and oodles of great giveaways, added to the already great vibe.

The PCA (Physical Culture Association) was formed in 2015 to bring bodybuilding and fitness athletes an improved competitor experience.

"We are thrilled to have once again hosted the Garden Route Casino Bodybuilding Classic, together with local bodybuilding and fitness guru Johan du Toit. The Garden Route Casino is always keen to bring diverse, quality entertainment to the area; it was a recipe for the perfect partnership," commented Karen Johnstone, Garden Route Casino marketing manager.

Niel Wentzel from George claimed the overall men’s bodybuilding title, with Ryno Cordier named overall men's cover and muscle model. Bianca Koekemoer from Cape Town was the overall ladies' bikini title winner.
