MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The bail application for four teenagers accused of attacking a Da Gamaskop Police Station constable with an axe on 25 May, has been postponed for further investigation until tomorrow, 13 June.
The four teenagers appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, 10 June, for their bail application. The rest of the application is expected to be heard tomorrow.
It is alleged the four teenagers, aged 16 to 19, attacked the 30-year-old constable in Dalindyebo Street, Albert Luthuli Park, in Mossel Bay just before 02:00 on 25 May.
The officer, who suffered life-threatening injuries, was rushed to a nearby hospital.
He was discharged from hospital in due course, to continue his recovery at home.
Da Gamaskop Police detectives immediately began their investigation after receiving the call about the attack and arrested the four teenagers the same day as the attack.
They are facing charges of attempted murder.
