MOSSEL BAY LIFESTYLE NEWS - The Sunflower Fund (Friends of the South African Bone Marrow Registry) was formed in 1999. The Sunflower Fund is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation, based in Cape Town, with a vision to give all South Africans diagnosed with leukaemia and other life-threatening blood disorders the chance of life, irrespective of their race and financial circumstances.

So far, the efforts of the Sunflower Fund - with the support of many others - have increased the donor numbers on the SABMR from a mere 1 200 in 1999 to over 65 500 today!

As an alliance partner to the Sunflower Fund, Round Table South Africa was proud to be part of Bandana Day and successfully managed to sell over R800 000 of bandanas.

Each club was challenged to sell as many bandanas as they could and Round Table Mossel Bay seized this opportunity with both hands, selling over 400 bandanas.

Companies and individuals throughout the area stepped up to the challenge and purchased bandanas in support of this great cause.

Round Table Mossel Bay would like to extend their thanks for all the wonderful support they have received this year from individuals and companies alike, such as Garden Route Casino, Parsons Plumbing, Pinnacle Point Beach and Golf Resort, Ladybird Cleaners, Fidelity Security – Pinnacle, Reflexion Hair, Transand, OnTap, Mossel Bay Bakery, CTM and Plumblink, to name but a few.
