According to CMO Asia, the award "pays tribute to leading business schools that are shaping the destinies of the future leaders, who will make this world a better place to live."
Dr Margie Cullen received the award on behalf of the school and several leading professors in scholarly disciplines were also recognised.
NMMU was the only African business school to receive an award, sharing the spotlight with well-known business schools such as the Indian Institute of Management, Singapore Management University, Nanyang Business School and Seoul National University.
